The Indented Cylinder 400 is a laboratory scale machine, also used for small production lots, to separate round- from long-shaped seeds and to separate seeds on length or to eliminate broken seeds. The diameter of the cylinder used, is 40 cm.
With the Selecta Indented Cylinder 400 the axial angle of inclination of the cylinder is adjustable.

Operation
As the cylinder revolves, the round (or short) seeds are lifted out of the mixture by numerous indents inside. They are dropped into a gutter inside the cylinder and collected in a funnel with a spout in front of the machine. The longer shaped seeds are rejected and float freely to the end of the cylinder, where they are discharged through the other spout.

The degree of separation is controlled very accurately through:
* Feeding by VIDOS vibrating feeder for a regular flow, with integrated steples speed adjustment.
* Capacity of feeding hopper 25 litres (bigger hoppers on request)
* Big diameter of the cylinder of 400 mm., for better separation accuracy.
* The axial angle of inclination of the cylinder is easy and stepless adjustable
   from 0 to -10 degrees. (Adjusting the axial angle of inclination is with most laboratory
   indented cylinder machines NOT possible)
* The trough to collect the short seeds is made of stainless steel.
* The cylinders are quickly changeable.
* Electronic steples speed adjustment by frequency control for the turning speed.
* Very easy and thorough cleaning of the machine and no contamination risk,
   because of the open construction
